Adelaide Hills Tourism Regional Manager, Dean Bagley, is pleased to announce that the all-new and catchy "Classic Country Drive" campaign to encourage visitors and locals to discover the many wonders of Adelaide's magnificent Hills region, will associate closely with the 2009 Lobethal Grand Carnival.

Generations of South Australians have traditionally taken to the Hills, usually to see the wonderful autumn colours but as Mr Bagley enthuses, "There is so much to see and do in the Hills and for those interested in classic motoring the experience is even more rewarding - not only is there a chance to exercise a classic car, there is the National Motor Museum at Birdwood and the original 14km Lobethal Grand Prix circuit to drive around.

The Lobethal Grand Carnival scheduled for October 3-4 in 2009 celebrates the 70th Anniversary of the Australian Grand Prix which in 1939 was won by West Australian, Allan Tomlinson. Not only was he the youngest-ever AGP winner but he will back in October to drive the circuit in a replica of his all conquering MG TA.
