Lobethal Grand Carnival 2009

PARKING: Please refer to the MAP OF TRACK.

MAP OF TRACK

FREE Parking is available at (C) Kayannie Corner (just before the turnoff from Onkaparinga Valley Road to Lobethal) and (B) Hirthes Road/Mt Torrens Hairpin Corner.

Parking for $5 per car is available at (A) the Lobethal Sports and Recreational Grounds (off Woodside Road via Jeffrey Street and Onkaparinga Road).

Any other parking is subject to normal road rules and conditions and parking signage or restrictions imposed. We also ask that spectators respect driveways and private property access and take all due care to park responsibly.

ROAD CLOSURES: The Lobethal Circuit comprising Onkaparinga Road (from Kayannie Corner to Mt Torrens Hairpin including Charleston), the Woodside Road from Kayannie Corner into Lobethal, the Main Street of Lobethal and the Lobethal to Mount Torrens Road from Lobethal to the Mt Torrens Hairpin (a total of 14km) is closed to general traffic from 12:30 to 4:30 pm on each of Saturday October 3 and Sunday October 4.

DETOURS and ACCESS to the event. If you should reach a manned detour and wish to get to the event, please ask the detour attendant for directions.

MERCHANDISE: Official Event Programmes will be on sale at the Event Merchandise Points for $5 each. Merchandise Stalls are located in the Main Street in front of the Lutheran Church (48 Main St), at the Motorbike and Exotic Pits,

(5 Main Street) and at the Kayannie Corner (Onkaparinga Valley & Woodside Road intersections).

PIT ACCESS:

Due to the effects of recent severe rains, the pits have been modified and will be at two locations.

Historic Racing Cars at the Lutheran Church and School complex, rear 48 Main Street, Lobethal. Admission to view the cars will be charged at $5 per head. Children under 12 free. Viewing from 9am on Saturday and 11am on Sunday.

Historic Motorbikes, Exotic & Touring Cars and the Clipsal 500 sponsored Solar Challenge display will be located at the car park adjacent Bennetts Variety Store at 5 Main Street, just past the Bierhaus. Again admission will be $5 (children under 12) and area will be open from 9am each day.

CATERING: food and drink available in Main Street, Lobethal.
